Yes, you will be able to play Over the Hill on PS5, but not yet. The PlayStation 5 version is one of the console ports Funselektor plans for 2027, after the Steam release on October 14, 2026. When the PS5 version arrives
Funselektor’s release date announcement says the console ports for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 will follow in 2027. No month or day has been given, and the concept page does not show a date. The $24.99 price announced so far is for Steam; a PS5 price has not been announced.
Is Over the Hill on PS4?
No PS4 version has been announced. The official website, the press kit and the release date announcement all name PlayStation 5 only. In August 2026 a player asked on the Steam forums for a PS4 release; the replies came only from other players, and Funselektor did not respond in that thread. Until the studio says otherwise, plan on PS5.
Co-op and cross-play on PS5
The store notice matches the rest of the official information: up to four players online. Funselektor’s FAQ confirms cross-play, so a PS5 group should be able to play with PC friends once the port launches, although the account setup has not been described.
Using a PlayStation controller on PC
If you would rather not wait until 2027, the Steam version supports PlayStation controllers. Its store page lists DualShock and DualSense support alongside full controller support, and PCGamingWiki’s community tests on the demo also list the DualSense Edge.
